Third Time Running! eZe-Talk is in the Deloitte Fast 500 2011!

2009, 2010 and now 2011, eZe-Talk again joins the Deloitte 500, ranked 87

eZe-Talk reconfirmed their status once again today as one of the fastest growing independent telecom service providers in the UK after having been named for the third year running in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

To add to this success, eZe-talk were also named as a winner in the prestigious Deloitte Fast 50 as North of England’s Regional Winner

Steve Walsh, one of eZe-Talk’s founding directors, has said about the Deloitte Fast 500 Award: “We’re not in business to win awards but the great thing about the Deloitte awards is that it is recognition from respected and independent industry experts who understand that achieving such levels of growth over a five year period – especially in the midst of a recession – is not just about acquiring new customers.”

eZe Talk is Number 1 in the North of UK in the Deloitte Fast 50!

eZe Talk is the regional winner in the North of UK and is now ranked 15 within the Deloitte Fast 50 across the whole of the UK

“The tough economic climate has made growing a business challenging for many businesses, but for UK telecoms provider eZe-Talk, it has made the process of acquiring new customers a little easier.

“We provide broadband and telephone services to consumers and small businesses, and sometimes it can be hard to get people to seriously consider switching providers, because it seems like a hassle” says Mike Taitt, group chief executive. “However, in the current climate, people are a lot more inclined to listen to you, and take action, when you can save them a few pounds a month on their bill.”

The Crewe-based company has found being based in the North of England is an advantage because overheads are lower, although recruitment remains a challenge in some areas. “Finding telesales staff is sometimes easier in cities where you have a lot of young people, but we aren’t finding it a big problem so far.”

eZe-Talk was funded by its two founders and two other private investors, and has funded additional growth using bank financing. The company would be interested in acquisitions but Taitt admits that any ambitions are frustrated by the lack of available bank funding for fast-growing companies.

Instead, the company has focused on investing in its underlying technology and processes, to create a solid platform for expansion. For example, eZe-Talk has developed its own business management system which automates many of its routine business processes, from customer acquisition and throughout their lifecycle, driving efficiency and allowing the company to offer a more flexible product portfolio. The completed system will also be available for re-sale to businesses with similar needs.

“We’ve recently added mobile telecoms to our product portfolio so this can be packaged along with broadband and fixed-line services, and invoiced on a single bill, which is very attractive to customers,” says Taitt.

The biggest challenge on the horizon for eZe-Talk is how the company raises its profile to continue its growth. To date, the company has relied on word of mouth and telesales to acquire new customers, but they now need to start investing in marketing, PR and creating a public profile. “It will be a little difficult because we’ve always gone direct to the market, but we have to keep reinventing ourselves and raising our profile to continue to grow” says Taitt.”  Source: Deloitte Case Study: eZe-Talk

B.T. increases call prices by 10%

B.T Price Increases Make eZe-Talk 12.5% Cheaper on Line Rental, 25% Cheaper on Calls

ITN and The BBC and other national news sources revealed today that BT customers will have to pay 10 per cent more for phone calls from their landline.

Millions of BT customers will have to pay 10% more for phone calls from their landline, and BT monthly line rental charges are increasing by 50p from the beginning of October. The cost of connecting a call will also go up from 9.9p to 10.9p, while the daytime rate rises from 5.9p to 6.4p per minute.

B.T. have recently EXCLUDED evening calls from their entry level call packages and these calls are now charged at 1.5p per minute, so the combined effect of these price increases will see the average customer actually paying in excess of 10% more.

The BT price increases mean that eZe-Talk will now be 12.5% cheaper on line rental charges and 25% cheaper on calls made outside of the package and call
connection charges.

As eZe-Talk does not charge for evening calls in our call packages we are effectively 100% cheaper on these calls compared to BT.

eZe-Talk has always given our customers the guarantee never to increase the prices charged for their landline calls as long as they remain a customer.

So, fortunately, the only impact the BT price rise will have on our existing customers is that they will now be saving even more money compared to BT.

eZe-talk will NOT be increasing charges for line rental or call charges to new customers either, plus we’ll continue to include free evening calls in all our call packages, backed by the same no price increase guarantee.

This makes eZe-talk considerably cheaper than BT.

There couldn’t be a better time to be or become an eZe-talk customer!

Compared to B.T, eZe-Talk Customers save…

  • 12.46% on line rental including free evening and free weekend calls
  • 25% on calls made outside of call packages
  • 32% on broadband
  • 82% on calls to the USA
  • 88% on calls to Australia and 41% on calls to mobile phones in Australia

Legal Action taken on copycat Max Talk

eZe-Talk Launch Legal Action Against Company Passing Off As Max Talk

When the directors of eZe-Talk were informed this week that newly formed telecom reseller Global House Europe Ltd were marketing their services under the Max Talk brand we took immediate action, instructing our lawyers to stop what was clearly a infringement of our trade mark.

eZe-Talk acquired the Max Talk brand and entire customer base in September 2009 and have continued to supply those customers under the Max Talk brand since then so it came as a great shock to both the company and Max Talk customers that another company would choose to set up and trade under the same brand name.
