Security Warning
Last updated: 28-July-2009
Customers please be aware
The Telecoms and Utilities sectors are currently being targeted by fraudsters who may call you up asking for your credit card details.
They are using different stories to make you believe that they are calling from your supply company, a common story is that you have overpaid your bill and they wish to issue a credit directly onto your credit/debit card, or they may tell you that you have an outstanding amount and you need to make an immediate payment to avoid your service or supply being stopped.
Under no circumstances should you provide this information to anybody who calls you asking for any financial information unless they can tell you:-
- Your last invoice amount.
- Your last invoice date.
- Your last invoice number.
If the person who is speaking to you cannot provide this information then you should not provide any of your personal information to them.
We will never ask you to provide credit/debit card details to make a refund onto your card. We will only ask for outstanding bill payment and only when you are satisfied that we have answered the three questions above.
